Hampton Fire & Rescue will host its annual Five-Alarm Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and will be held at Syms Middle School, located at 170 Foxhill Road.
The festival aims to provide family fun and fire safety information. Activities for children include a bounce house, an obstacle course, face painting, a balloon artist, and more.
A key objective of the festival is to raise awareness about fire dangers and promote fire safety through educational activities. Cooking is identified as the leading cause of home fires and injuries, followed by heating fires.
"One major goal of the festival is to increase awareness of fire dangers and to promote fire safety through educational and preventive activities," according to Hampton Fire & Rescue.
