Hampton city facilities are set to reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday following closures due to Winter Storm Kingston. The reopening includes City Hall, libraries, neighborhood and community centers, the Hampton History Museum, and the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center.
Public Works crews have been working to clear major roadways in the area, although side streets and neighborhoods may still present hazardous conditions. Residents are advised to stay indoors if possible.
Trash and recycling collections were not conducted on Thursday or Friday due to road conditions. These services will resume over the weekend with collections taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Courts in Hampton will operate as usual despite the recent weather disruptions.
