City Council to review budget proposal and capital improvement plan

The City Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming budget for Fiscal Year 2026. The council's agenda includes a work session at 1 p.m. where members will be briefed on the city manager's recommended budget and the 2026-30 Capital Improvement Plan. The full budget proposal from the city manager's office will be presented on April 15.

Following the presentation, the council plans to hold two public hearings before voting on the budget on May 14. The new fiscal year will begin on July 1.

Later, during the legislative session at 6:30 p.m., the council will consider several rezoning and use permit applications.

Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in the chambers on the eighth floor of City Hall, located at 22 Lincoln Street. Additionally, they will be streamed live on the city's website and broadcasted on Cox Channel 47 and Verizon Channel 22.
