72 percent of applicants to ECPI University were admitted for fall 2018

At ECPI University, 68 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Virginia Beach enrolled 12,947 students in fall 2018, including 12,704 in undergraduate and 243 in graduate programs, data shows. 17.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 34 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (39 percent) and white (39 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 5,548 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 38 percent enrolled.
