Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 9, the hampton.gov website will get a makeover. The design uses our new branding, putting the city logo larger and in the top left. It uses the brighter waves of color that are part of our palette. This is same design on recent banners and backdrops, such as those for All American City and State of the City.

While the organization and functions will remain the largely the same, you will see an updated and livelier look and feel. Knowing that people like images more than words, there are larger images in the news section; hovering over them will bring up additional text information. The calendar will show more events and details on those events, to draw more viewers. A social media feed from our Instagram posts also adds more information using visuals.

Our vendor will pull the switch sometime on Tuesday; however, due to the way various web browsers cache information, people will see the new design at different times.
