How city offices and services are affected by July 4 holiday

June 28, 2023 — All city offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4, in honor of the Independence Day holiday. Here's a look at how other city services will be affected by the holiday:

City Offices                            Closed Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4

Garbage collection                 No pickup on Tuesday, July 

4. Those Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday, July 5.

Street sweeping                     No sweeping on Tuesday, July 4. Tuesday’s scheduled sweeping will be done on Friday, July 7.

Yard waste site                       Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Landfill                                    Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Libraries                                  Closed Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4.

Community centers                 Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Neighborhood centers             Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Fort Monroe Pool                    Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Treasurer’s Office &                 Closed Tuesday, July 4.Commissioner ofRevenue’s Office

DMV Select                             Closed Tuesday, July 4.

Courts                                      Closed Tuesday, July 4.

City parks,                               Open regular hours.

Bluebird Gap Farm

Peninsula Health                      Closed Tuesday, July 4.

District and clinics

Public golf courses                  The Woodlands and The 

Hamptons are open for regular hours but will charge weekend/holiday rates.

Hampton Tennis                      Open Tuesday, July 4.Center

Hampton History                      Museum open regular hours, 

but administrative office is closed.

July 3-4.
