Shooting Investigation: 300 Block of East Mercury Boulevard

City of Hampton Police issued the following announcement on Oct. 14

At approximately 3:00 a.m., Public Safety Communications received a call about a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of East Mercury Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim who had been struck by gunfire. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Hampton Medics.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the area of 300 block of East Mercury Boulevard when he was struck by gunfire. The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. Police have identified all parties involved in the incident and are not looking for any suspects at this time
