Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) has introduced an interactive route map aimed at enhancing the travel experience for its customers. This new tool provides real-time information for all routes and over 2,600 bus stops, improving upon previous options that only displayed major stops.

The digital system map is accessible via gohrt.com/system-map, with a link also available at the bottom of HRT's homepage. William E. Harrell, HRT’s President and CEO, stated, “HRT continues to invest in technology to improve the customer experience. Our new digital system map is user-friendly, designed to help with trip planning while increasing customer confidence when using our system.”

Users can select routes by clicking on them directly or using a dropdown menu beneath the map. The chosen route will be highlighted along with its associated stops. Details such as the route number and a comprehensive list of stops from inbound to outbound are shown below the map. Additionally, selecting a specific stop reveals real-time arrival information for all routes serving that location.

An added feature of the system map is location awareness. By utilizing the “get location” button under the map, users can share their location to receive details about nearby stops within a half-mile radius and corresponding routes. This functionality assists customers in identifying accessible HRT services within walking distance.
