Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) has announced adjustments to its services due to anticipated severe weather conditions. On Friday, January 10, 2025, HRT will maintain its regular schedule but warns passengers of potential delays and unexpected detours. Updates can be accessed through their website at gohrt.com or by contacting Customer Service.
The following day, Saturday, January 11, 2025, HRT will implement Snow Routes in response to the adverse weather forecast. These routes will provide hourly and limited service from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The light rail and ferry services are set to operate every 30 minutes within the same time frame. However, services such as the Naval Station Norfolk Base Express, paratransit, and ridesharing will be suspended.
For those seeking assistance or updates on service changes, the Customer Service Call Center will be operational from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Information will also be disseminated via social media platforms and local news outlets.
Further details about Snow Routes can be found on HRT's snow route page at https://gohrt.com/customer-service/snow-route-plan/. For additional inquiries or information, visit gohrt.com or contact them at 757-222-6100.
