The Hampton Human Services Department officially opened its new office space on Tuesday afternoon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The staff had relocated to the new premises at 400 Butler Farm Road, Suite 200, in early June. This week's event marked the completion of upgrades and renovations to the former commercial office space.

The department had closed to the public for two days last spring to facilitate the move and has been operating from the new location since then. The office maintains its regular weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Human Services aims to assist individuals and families in overcoming poverty, prevent abuse and neglect of children and seniors, and promote the welfare of all Hampton residents.
