There were 2,166 multiracial students enrolled in Newport News City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 0.2% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Newport News City Public Schools District welcomed 26,219 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 8.3% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the school.
