There were 886 Hispanic students enrolled in Portsmouth City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 8.2% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Portsmouth City Public Schools District welcomed 13,162 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 6.7% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Among the 22 schools in Portsmouth City Public Schools District, Churchland Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year.
