July 4, 2024 — Downtown Hampton is set to host its Fourth of July Celebration today, beginning at 5 p.m. The event will culminate in a Drone Show synchronized to music at 9:15 p.m., offering a quieter alternative to traditional fireworks.
The show will launch north of Mill Point Park, with optimal viewing from tree-free park locations. Spectators can also watch from the top deck of the HU Harbor Center parking garage at 2 Eaton Street, although no cars will be permitted in that area during the show.
Eaton Street will be closed northbound between Queen and Lincoln Streets for the event. Attendees are reminded that open alcohol is prohibited in the 2 Eaton Street parking garage.
Handicap-accessible parking spots will be available near the top level of the garage for drone show viewing access, subject to availability. Additional handicap-accessible parking is located on Queen’s Way, in the Eaton Street parking lot, and on the first level of the garage.
