Dec. 20, 2023 — Because of the change in the trash collection schedule, any trash that was missed today will still be collected by Public Works crews on Friday. The trash collection regularly scheduled for Friday, Dec. 22, were done Wednesday, Dec. 20, because of the upcoming holiday and administrative day.
If your regular trash collection is on Friday and your trash was not collected today, please put your bin out Friday morning by 7 a.m., and our crews will make the collections.
Here’s a look at how the Christmas and New Year’s holidays will affect city offices and services in the week ahead.
City offices | Closed Friday, Dec. 22, for an administrative day; Monday, Dec. 25, for Christmas; and Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. |
Trash collection | There will be no trash or recycling collections on Friday, Dec. 22, or on Monday, Dec. 25. Friday’s collections will be made on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Monday’s collections will be made on Wednesday, Dec. 27. There will be no collections made Monday, Jan. 1. That day’s collections will be made on Wednesday, Jan. 3. |
Street sweeping | There will be no street sweeping on Monday, Dec. 25. That day’s sweeping will be done on Wednesday, Dec. 27. Street sweeping scheduled for Dec. 27 will be done on Friday, Dec. 29.
