Cost of college went up for all students at ECPI University

Tuition and fees rose 6.6 percent for 2018-19 at ECPI University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $16,039 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $988 more than the $15,051 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 88 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,073 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.1 million and 904 students took out student loans totaling more than $8.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (12,947), 7,626 students used grants or scholarships totaling $44 million, and 6,092 students took out $55.7 million in federal student loans.
