Hampton Roads Transit announces Thanksgiving holiday service schedule

Hampton Roads Transit has announced its service schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday period. On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, all transit services including bus, light rail, ferry, Base Express, paratransit, and ridesharing will operate on a regular schedule. The Downtown Norfolk Transit Center information booth will close at 4:30 PM while other transit center information booths will follow their normal schedules. The Customer Service Call Center will be open from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Administrative facilities are set to close at noon.

On Thursday, November 28, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, most bus routes will run on a regular Sunday schedule with some operating on a modified Sunday schedule where service ends earlier. Light rail, Base Express, paratransit, and ridesharing services will also adhere to a Sunday schedule. The ferry service will not be available that day. Administrative facilities along with transit center information booths and the Customer Service Call Center will remain closed.

The following day on Friday, November 29, bus services along with light rail, Base Express, paratransit and ridesharing services are scheduled to operate on a Saturday timetable. Ferry services will resume their regular operations. However, administrative facilities as well as transit center information booths and the Customer Service Call Center will continue to be closed.
