City offices and services will experience closures and schedule changes due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 2.

All city offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. Garbage collection scheduled for that day will be postponed to Wednesday, Sept. 4. Yard waste sites and landfills will also be closed.

Street sweeping planned for Monday will be rescheduled to Wednesday, Sept. 4, while Wednesday’s regular sweeping will occur on Friday, Sept. 6.

City schools will not hold classes on Monday, Sept. 2, and students and staff are also off on Friday, Aug. 30.

Libraries, community centers, neighborhood centers, the Treasurer's office, the Commissioner of Revenue’s office, DMV Select locations, courts, and Peninsula Health District clinics will all remain closed on Monday.

In contrast to these closures, city parks will operate during regular hours. Public golf courses such as The Woodlands and The Hamptons will maintain regular hours but apply holiday rates.

The Hampton History Museum administrative offices will be closed; however, the museum itself remains open during its standard operating hours.

James T. Wilson Pier is set to open with its usual schedule.
