There were 4,517 Hispanic students enrolled in Newport News City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 3.7% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Newport News City Public Schools District welcomed 26,219 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 17.2% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Among the 40 schools in Newport News City Public Schools District, Menchville High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year.
