Amtrak Virginia service will relocate from 9304 Warwick Boulevard to the Newport News Transportation Center, located at 500 B Bland Boulevard. Beginning Aug. 22, Amtrak will stop serving the station at 9304 Warwick Boulevard and begin operating from the new transportation center.
This new location will offer ticketing, a waiting room, carry-on baggage assistance, mobility impaired assistance, unaccompanied minor travel, group travel, and free long-term and short-term parking for Amtrak customers.
The station information is as follows:
- Address: 500 B Bland Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23602
- Ticket Office hours: 4:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Wheelchair accessible
- Serves as a transfer point for Amtrak Thruway Bus Service
- Extends travel to Norfolk and Virginia Beach
During the transition to the new station, Thruway Bus service will continue to stop at the old station through Aug. 29.
