Planning Commission will consider request from HU

The Hampton Planning Commission will meet on Thursday afternoon to consider a series of proposals. The meeting is at 3:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers on the eighth floor of City Hall.

The meeting is open to the public. The commission will consider:

  • A request from Hampton University to operate an event space on the 15th floor of Harbour Centre at 2 Eaton Street. 
  • A plan to add a mitigation bank to the list of uses in all zoning districts in Hampton. Mitigation banks area sites where wetlands are restored, created, enhanced, or preserved expressly for the purpose of providing compensatory mitigation for authorized impacts on other sites.
  • A series of changes designed to allow day cares in multiple districts 

City Hall is located at 22 Lincoln St. The meeting will be aired live on Fios Channel  22 and Cox Channel 47 and streamed live at hampton.gov/livetv. The agenda and details can be found here.
