The City of Newport News, in collaboration with several local organizations, has announced the return of the World Arts Celebration. The event will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christopher Newport University (CNU), located at 1 Avenue of the Arts.

The festival is free and open to the public. It aims to showcase global culture through a variety of activities, including art, music, dance, food, and interactive experiences. More than 25 countries will be represented at the event.

According to organizers, attendees can expect live performances, creative workshops, cultural exhibits, hands-on art activities, and a range of international cuisine. The festival will also feature a marketplace with artisans and vendors, as well as creative experiences such as face painting, calligraphy, cultural storytelling, and art demonstrations. Food trucks offering international dishes will be present.

Admission to the festival, as well as parking, shuttle services, activities, and giveaways, are all free of charge. However, food and handmade items will be available for purchase.

The city advises that outside alcohol, glass containers, and bicycles are not allowed at the event. Only certified service dogs are permitted on site.
