A winter weather advisory has been issued for Hampton by the National Weather Service office in Wakefield. The advisory will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

The forecast predicts up to two inches of snow, which could create slippery road conditions during the morning commute. Public Works crews are applying brine and monitoring road temperatures and conditions throughout the event.

“The Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor updates on the weather forecast and will respond as needed. You can always get the latest information by following the city’s social media accounts,” according to city officials.

Residents are advised to drive carefully due to possible hazardous conditions.
