Williamsburg Regional Library will be closed from October 10 to 12 as it prepares to launch a new online catalog and app. The closure is necessary to complete the transition to the updated system, with the new catalog set to go live on October 13.

During this period, all library services will be unavailable. This includes access to the Libby app, Kanopy, and other online resources such as newspapers and magazines. Requests for new material purchases are also paused until the new system is operational.

Users should be aware that notice preferences for alerts about overdue items and holds will not transfer to the new system. All notifications will default to email, but Williamsburg Regional Library will introduce more customizable notification options later in the fall.

The new app, Aspen LiDA, will be available for download on October 13. Patrons can find it by searching for “Williamsburg Regional Library” in their app store.
