James City County is hosting the Vintage, Visions & Vibes Festival Weekend in September. The event will celebrate the history and culture of the area through a series of activities for both adults and families.

The festival begins with “Dining in the Dark” on Friday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Legacy Hall, located at 4301 New Town Ave. This event is open to individuals aged 21 and over. Tickets are $75, plus taxes and fees, and can be purchased through Eventbrite. The evening will start with a vintage game night followed by a dinner where guests eat blindfolded to heighten their senses.

On Saturday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the main festival takes place at Jamestown Beach Event Park at 2205 Jamestown Rd. Parking for the event costs $10 per car.

The family-friendly festival features live music performances by “London,” a classic rock cover band. Attendees can browse vintage goods and collectibles at the market, see restored classic cars in a car show, have antiques appraised by experts, and watch artisan demonstrations.

Additional activities include dancing sessions featuring music from different decades and a Kids’ Zone with activities designed for children.

Those interested in updates or reminders about the event can join the Facebook event page.

“Join us for a journey through time, celebrating the rich history and vibrant culture of James City County. This two-day extravaganza includes a ‘Dining in the Dark’ experience for ages 21+ and a family-friendly festival for all ages. Come experience the nostalgia, discover hidden treasures and create lasting memories.”
