Mayor Phillip Jones is set to deliver the annual State of the City address for Newport News on Thursday, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. The address will update residents and businesses on the city's progress over the past year while outlining future growth and development plans. This year's theme is "Our City. Our Story. Our Moment."
Joining Mayor Jones will be former mayors Barry E. Duval, McKinley L. Price, and Joseph C. Ritchie. The event requires tickets, but a livestream option will be available for those unable to attend in person.
The annual address allows Mayor Jones to engage directly with the community, reflect on accomplishments from the past year, discuss ongoing projects, and share goals for the upcoming year.
