The Solid Waste Department has announced an error in the mailed waste collection calendar for July, August, and September. The issue involves a reversal of recycling collection days on blue and red Fridays.

Residents have multiple options to access the corrected calendar. It can be viewed and printed online. Alternatively, individuals can request a mailed copy by contacting the Solid Waste Department at 757-868-3598. Printed copies are also available at Public Works, the Library, City Hall, or Parks and Recreation.

“We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused,” stated the department.
