May 29, 2025 — The Treasurer’s Office reminds residents that real estate, personal, and business property taxes are due on Thursday, June 5, 2024. Payments can be made through various channels including online at hampton.virginiainteractive.org or by phone at 1-877-277-6341. In-person payments are accepted at the office located at 1 Franklin St. in downtown Hampton or via mail.

To avoid a late payment penalty of 10%, payments must be received or postmarked by midnight on June 5.

Residents can create a MyHampton account to access their tax accounts’ billing and payment history anytime. The platform also allows users to view billing statements, sign up for electronic billing, set reminders for due dates, and schedule monthly payments without incurring any fees.

The Treasurer’s Office will extend its hours from May 30 to June 5, operating from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., before reverting to its usual hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. starting June 6.

Meanwhile, the DMV Select office at the same address will remain closed until June 6 but will reopen with limited hours initially before returning to normal business hours on June 9. However, the full-service DMV office at 8109 Roanoke Ave. remains open during regular hours.

For inquiries, contact the Treasurer’s Office at 757-727-6374.
