At about 9:13 a.m. on December 13, officers from the James City County Police Department responded to a robbery at the Wells Fargo bank located in the 4600 block of Monticello Avenue. According to police, an unidentified man entered the bank, showed a firearm, demanded money from staff, and then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Police described the suspect as a white male, middle-aged, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, grey t-shirt, jeans, and a black ballcap.
Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the identity or location of the suspect to contact Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online at p3tips.com. The police stated: “Callers to the Crime Line and p3Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.”
The investigation is ongoing.
