An international e-commerce company has become the first tenant at the newly developed Phenix Commerce Center in Hampton. Cirro Global, also known as US Elogistics Service Corp., will occupy 149,685 square feet at 30 Aberdeen Road. The lease was announced by real estate broker Colliers on behalf of NorthPoint Development and is described as the largest warehouse lease for a newly built Class A facility in the Hampton Roads region in over a year.
Mayor Jimmy Gray commented on the development: “The City of Hampton is excited to welcome US Elogistics Services Corp as the first tenant in the new Phenix Commerce Center. Hampton’s world-class workforce, proximity to the Port of Virginia, and transportation infrastructure are essential ingredients for the success of this project in addition to the new industrial space that the company will occupy. We look forward to US Elogistics Services Corp’s long-term success in Hampton.”
NorthPoint Development finished construction on two buildings totaling 834,000 square feet at Phenix Commerce Center earlier this year. The location’s access to major transportation routes and its closeness to the Port of Virginia have made it attractive for logistics operations, especially with ongoing improvements such as those from the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel Expansion Project.
Stephen A. Edwards, CEO and executive director of the Virginia Port Authority, said: “The Port of Virginia welcomes Cirro to its new facility in Hampton. This strategic location will help Cirro capitalize on the efficiency, growth and global reach of America’s Most Modern Gateway, The Port of Virginia. We look forward to supporting this opportunity.”
