On Saturday, March 22, former Menchville High School standout Amari Smith’s current collegiate team the Norfolk State Spartans lost 82-69 against the Maryland Terrapins in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Xfinity Center, this was the first game against the Maryland Terrapins during the championship.

Amari Smith’s hometown is Newport News and game position is guard.
