Olde Towne Holiday Lights

Celebrate the magic of the season at Olde Towne Holiday Lights on Nov. 21, from 5–9 p.m. along the High Street Corridor, 206 High St., Portsmouth. This festive evening begins on the Middle Street Mall with live Christmas music, face painting, crafts, and appearances by holiday characters. Enjoy performances by the Children’s Chorus and carolers as the Mayor, Father Christmas, and the Snow Queen officially light Portsmouth’s holiday tree. Follow the glowing procession with bagpipers through Olde Towne, meet the Grinch and Santa Claus, and savor free hot cocoa, cider, and treats. Don’t miss the pyrotechnic finale, commemorative family photos, and open shops filled with cheer. Presented by the Olde Towne Business Association and community partners.

Step into the magic of the season at Winter Wonderland: The Coleman Nursery Collection, opening Nov. 30, at the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center, 400 High St., Portsmouth. This beloved holiday exhibit delights visitors of all ages with whimsical, animated displays featuring twinkling Christmas trees, ice skaters gliding across frozen ponds, sledding children, and cheerful carolers in a charming Victorian village. The enchanting scenes celebrate traditions from around the world, capturing the warmth and wonder of the holidays. Running daily through December, this festive experience offers families a chance to relive cherished memories and create new ones in a beautifully decorated setting.
