World Arts Celebration

Celebrate global creativity at the World Arts Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Christopher Newport University, 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News. This free, family-friendly festival invites guests to experience the world through art with captivating performances, cultural exhibits, interactive activities, and international showcases spread across the CNU campus, Torggler Fine Arts Center, and Ferguson Center’s small theaters. Discover vibrant traditions, meet artists, and celebrate unity through creativity. Later that evening, enjoy a special ticketed performance by world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma at 8 p.m. in the Ferguson Center for the Arts. Presented in partnership with CNU, Torggler, Ferguson Center, NNPS, Downing-Gross, Sister Cities, and local arts and culture organizations.

The Monster’s Ball

Get ready for a thrilling night at The Monster’s Ball on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 980 Omni Blvd., Newport News! This 21+ Halloween celebration kicks off at 8 p.m. and promises a night of dancing, fun, and frightful delights. Party with ghouls and goblins as Mixxstar DJs keep the dance floor alive with electrifying music. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, sip on festive “spirits” from the cash bar, and show off your creativity in the costume contest at midnight for a chance to win spooktacular prizes. Tickets are $40 for General Admission and $75 for VIP access. All proceeds benefit local area non-profits, making this hauntingly fun evening one that gives back to the community.
