Every June, the National Safety Council spearheads National Safety Month, a campaign aimed at reducing injuries and fatalities in workplaces, on roads, and within communities. Since its inception in 1996, this annual observance has urged individuals and organizations to actively work towards safer environments.

Local business owners are encouraged to use this time to assess emergency plans, strengthen safety practices, and prepare their teams for potential threats such as workplace violence, natural disasters, or cyber threats.

The initiative emphasizes that “safety isn’t just a priority; it’s a responsibility.” It provides resources and tips designed to protect employees, customers, and businesses’ financial health.
