Midgrade gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.09 per gallon at one gas station in Hampton city during the week ending Feb. 7, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Reported prices for midgrade gas in Hampton city averaged $3.28 per gallon.

Of the 53 reported gas stations in cities within Hampton city, 36 offered midgrade gas.

The statewide average price of midgrade gas in Virginia was $3.35 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 7, an increase from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
