The Jamestown Olympic and Jamestown Sprint Triathlons are scheduled for Sunday, June 8. Motorists should anticipate delays on Jamestown Road, Greensprings Road, and Route 5 due to the events.

Several county parks and trails will be affected. The triathlons will include cycling, running, and swimming at Jamestown Beach Event Park, Greensprings Interpretive Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail, and the Virginia Capital Trail from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. While the beachfront, off-leash dog area, and trails at Jamestown Beach will remain open during the event, visitors should expect increased traffic from race participants.

Authorities advise caution and urge motorists to follow traffic signs and watch for pedestrians and event participants. More information about the event can be found at https://kineticmultisports.com/races/jamestown/.
