James City County’s Video Services and Web & Publications Divisions have received multiple national awards for their website pages and video projects.
The James City County Housing Portal was a platinum winner in the Microsite category at the AVA Digital Awards. It also secured a gold win from the Hermes Awards in both the Microsite and Website Redesign categories, along with an Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards in the General – Homepage category.
The James City County Website earned Awards of Distinction from the Communicator Awards in both the General – Government and Features – Structure and Navigation categories.
“Join JCCFD Today!” received a gold award from the AVA Digital Awards in the Web Video – Recruitment Video category, as well as an Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards in the General – Recruitment category.
The Legacy Hall 360 Tour won an Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards in the General – Virtual Tours category and received an Honorable Mention from the AVA Digital Awards in the Web Video – Facility Overview category.
“Jamestown Settlement’s Susan Constant: Journey to Restoration” took home silver and bronze awards from the Telly Awards in General – Video Journalism and General – Videography categories respectively, along with an Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards in Craft – Videography.
The Chickahominy Riverfront Park Pier Replacement project was awarded a bronze medal by the Telly Awards in General – Government Relations, alongside an Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards in General – Government & Associations.
The Foxes Stream Restoration received a bronze award for General – Sustainability at the Telly Awards and an Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards for Environmental & Sustainability.
The Warhill Sports Complex Basketball Courts Replacement project earned an Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards for Government & Associations. The “Voting in James City County: 2024 General Election” initiative won a Hometown Media Award from ACM in Access – Voter Education. The Safety Rodeo event was recognized with a Hometown Media Award by ACM under Student – Government.
Lastly, two more distinctions were given: An Outdoor Fitness Court Ribbon Cutting Ceremony won an Award of Distinction for Live Events, while Clean County Commission Promo gained recognition for Recruitment by receiving another Award of Distinction.
