The James City County Police Department will host its annual Halloween with Heroes event on October 23 at the Law Enforcement Center, located at 4600 Opportunity Way. The event is designed to offer families and children a chance to interact with local law enforcement in a safe environment.

A sensory-friendly hour will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., providing an inclusive experience for those who may benefit from a quieter setting. The main festivities are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m.

The department encourages attendees to wear costumes and participate in activities that include candy distribution and public safety-themed experiences. According to the announcement, “Join us for a safe and festive evening where children and families can connect with local law enforcement. Guests are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy candy, fun activities, and exciting public safety-themed experiences!”
