Residents are encouraged to attend the Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 17, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the James City County Recreation Center, located at 5301 Longhill Rd. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their thoughts or comments on Parks & Recreation facilities, parks, programs, or services during a designated public comment period.
The PRAC members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for staggered four-year terms. The Commission acts as a liaison between the Director of Parks & Recreation and the Board of Supervisors, the County Administrator, and community citizens regarding recreation and park matters. It also provides input for recreation and park planning.
