Residents of James City County are being invited to attend a Public Open House on Monday, September 29 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Legacy Hall, located at 4301 New Town Ave. Registration for the event is encouraged but not required.

The purpose of the open house is to allow residents to review and provide feedback on the draft Strategic Plan. In addition to attending in person, community members will soon have an opportunity to share their input through an online survey that will be launched after the open house.

According to county officials, “Launched in Spring 2024, the process to update James City County’s Strategic Plan began with meetings with key stakeholders, the community and staff to gain valuable input. Based on this feedback, the updated Strategic Plan is designed to be a flexible document, intended to help the County direct efforts and resources toward a clearly defined vision for its future while remaining responsive enough to adjust to changing conditions and unforeseen circumstances as needed.”

Further details about the plan update can be found on the county’s official website at https://jamescitycountyva.gov/strategicplan.
