James City County Parks & Recreation recently unveiled a new interactive interpretive sign at the Greensprings Interpretive Trail. The event took place on June 18 at the trailhead located at 3751 John Tyler Highway.

The project was made possible through a grant from the Williamsburg Community Foundation and the efforts of volunteers from the Historic Rivers Chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists. These volunteers were responsible for researching and designing the sign.

The new display aims to enhance visitors’ educational experience by highlighting the trail’s unique geological formation and showcasing its diverse range of plants and animals.
