Holliman Elementary has announced updates and an FAQ resource for the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The Holliman Elementary PTA will convene its first meeting of the school year on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. in the school library. A Zoom option is available upon request. The PTA is organizing its annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m., and is seeking committee volunteers as well as at least 20 families to decorate trunks. Additional sign-up details will be provided in a flyer. According to Holliman Elementary, September dine-out fundraisers are scheduled at UNO on Thursday, September 18, and Texas Roadhouse on Thursday, September 25. A portion of sales will be donated to the PTA when flyers are presented.

Membership renewal for the Holliman Elementary PTA is required annually. Dues are sent to the Rhode Island State PTA, which forwards a portion to the National PTA and provides access to training and resources. Members are not obligated to attend meetings or volunteer. To volunteer, individuals must have a current PTA membership and an up-to-date background check (BCI) on file with the main office; this can be completed at the Warwick Police Station and must be renewed annually.

Holliman Elementary is located at 70 Deborah Road in the Pilgrim Park neighborhood of Warwick, Rhode Island, enrolling approximately 280 students in grades K-5. The school employs a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to address learning needs and provide enrichment through online platforms and STEM resources. Its mission statement emphasizes academic progress and social-emotional development through culturally relevant instruction, while its vision statement focuses on preparing students to think flexibly and work collaboratively. The school’s principal is Dr. Kimberly Cabana.

Warwick Public Schools serves about 8,490 students in Rhode Island with a strategic plan for 2023–2026 under Superintendent William McCaffrey’s leadership. The district’s priorities include personalized learning, professional development for staff, safe and inclusive environments, communication with families, improving English Language Arts and math proficiency, reducing achievement gaps for students with disabilities, and supporting culturally responsive classrooms. It reports having one-to-one technology access for students, certified teachers, small class sizes, facility safety measures in place, student wellness initiatives underway, and aims to prepare graduates with skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and citizenship.
