Hampton University announced on April 14 that its annual Spring Football Showcase will take place on April 18 at noon at Armstrong Stadium, with free admission for the public.

The event will offer fans their first opportunity to see the Pirates under new head coach Van Malone, who previously served as assistant head coach at Kansas State for seven years. The team has added at least 32 newcomers to its roster, while returning seven starters from last season and four on defense.

In addition to the football action, several off-field activities are planned. Food trucks will be available to provide various dining options, and a Cigar Bar will be open during the event. After the showcase, players will sign autographs and interact with fans.

The announcement also highlighted Hampton’s upcoming home schedule for the 2026 season. The Pirates are set to host five home games, beginning August 29 against Virginia University-Lynchburg. Other opponents include Bryant on September 12, Campbell on September 26, Monmouth for Homecoming on October 24, and North Carolina A&T in the final home game of the season on November 14.

Season ticket prices were released: reserved seating is $250; general admission is $150; active military tickets are $75 with identification; and faculty/staff tickets are $70. Tickets can be purchased online at hamptonpirates.com/tickets, by phone or in person at the Convocation Center Ticket Office during office hours.
