Anthony Bardonille Jr., a freshman from Washington, D.C., has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week. This recognition follows his recent performance in a game against VMI, where he scored four goals and assisted on three more, despite the Hampton Pirates’ 17-15 loss.
Bardonille Jr. managed to score on all four of his shots on goal during Saturday’s match. This was his second hat trick in just four games, with the four-goal tally marking a personal best for his collegiate career.
So far this season, Bardonille Jr. has recorded nine goals and leads the team with seven assists. He has started and played in all four games for Hampton.
This is the first time that a player from Hampton University has received a weekly honor from the CAA.
