The City Council of Hampton is scheduled to hold its regular work and legislative sessions on Wednesday. The agenda includes a review of the city’s legislative priorities for the 2026 General Assembly session in Richmond.

Both meetings will take place in the council chambers on the eighth floor of City Hall at 22 Lincoln St. Residents can watch the proceedings on Cox channel 47, Verizon channel 22, or via live stream at hampton.gov/livetv.

During the 1 p.m. work session, council members will discuss legislative priorities for the upcoming General Assembly session and receive an update on Hampton’s strategic initiatives related to Living With Water.

The council will also hear a briefing on updates to the Infill Housing Design Standards and Plan Book. This program encourages builders to create new homes that align with the historic character and traditional designs of certain neighborhoods in Hampton. After this presentation, council members are expected to vote during their 6:30 p.m. legislative session on proposed amendments to a zoning ordinance connected to the Infill Housing Plan Book.

In addition, votes are scheduled for appointments to several municipal boards and commissions.
