Former I.c. Norcom High School standout and current Christopher Newport Captains player, Twan Merritt will compete in the NCAA Division III Football Championship.
The first game is on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 12 p.m.
Hampton University’s track and field team will finish its regular season at Wednesday’s Liberty Twilight Qualifier in Lynchburg. Recent highlights include Delano Lawrence breaking his own school record in discus and strong performances by Rochele Solmon.
Hampton University’s Riley Bohanon and Carmynn Bonner have been named to the Coastal Athletic Association’s second team for softball. The pair earned recognition for standout performances during conference play.
Hampton University track and field athletes recently competed at meets in Florida and North Carolina following exam week. The team recorded several top finishes across relay races and throwing events.
