Portsmouth city had one gas station selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $2.79 per gallon during the week ending Jan. 3, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Midgrade gas prices averaged $3.28 per gallon in Portsmouth city.

Of the 35 reported gas stations in cities within Portsmouth city, 22 offered midgrade gas.

The average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas in Virginia was $3.18, down from the previous week.
