The City Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday for its regular work session at 1 p.m. and legislative session at 6:30 p.m. Both meetings will take place in the chambers on the eighth floor of City Hall, located at 22 Lincoln St. The sessions will be broadcast on Cox channel 47 and Verizon channel 22, and will also be available via live stream at hampton.gov/livetv.

A ceremonial spotlight session is set for 6 p.m., before the legislative meeting, to recognize three Hampton City Schools students who gave a presentation during last month’s State of the City luncheon. The Hampton University Marching Force, which also participated in the event, will be recognized as well.

During the evening legislative session, council members will consider a use permit application for a proposed museum at 1611 Aberdeen Road dedicated to painter and illustrator Margaret Lefranc. They are also expected to vote on appointments to various municipal boards and commissions.

The afternoon work session agenda includes updates on capital projects for Hampton City Schools and information about Hampton Roads Transit’s System Optimization Plan.

Further details about attending the meetings and accessing full agendas can be found online.
