Hampton University’s Delano Lawrence finished 17th overall in men’s discus at the NCAA East Regionals. He set multiple school records this spring and was sixth in his flight. Another Hampton athlete will compete Saturday.
Jaida Graham and Brianna Charles represented Hampton on day two of the NCAA East Regionals. Graham competed in hammer throw while Charles ran in the sprints. The event continues with Delano Lawrence set to compete next.
Virginia Peninsula Community College in Hampton allocated $23,234 to men’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $1,791,702 below the state average of $1,814,936, according to data from the U.S. Department of Education.
