The second-ranked Captains of Christopher Newport University survived a tough first round game Friday night, winning 61-60 over Farmingdale State (NY). John Krikorian's squad plays at 7:20 Saturday night vs. Hampden-Sydney College at Kirby Field House.
CNU is now 25-3 and riding a ten-game winning streak. Hampden-Sydney is 22-6 and defeated Emory University Friday night to advance.
